NON LEAGUE BLOG (17/3)
The Grayson family's non league round up (16/3)
This weekend James went off to Salisbury for the Blue Square Premier match - Salisbury v Farsley Celtic, this finished up a draw 1-1. Farsley scored first through Reeves in 46 minutes, unfortunately Iqbal equalised for Salisbury with an own goal on 87 minutes. According to James the coach was a little quiet coming back. A good point though from a difficult away match.
Jillian and I went to watch Stocksbridge v Alsager in the Unibond 1st South. At least we managed to see some of it in the fog. We did see the two goals from Carl Fothergill that ensured Stocksbridge went home happy.
Always a pleasure to go to Stocksbridge, Allen Bethel their chairman is an old friend and we were made very welcome as always.
In the FA trophy semi finals Torquay beat York and Ebbsfleet swept past Aldershot and will meet each other in the final at Wembley on May 10th.
Although this is the FA Cups country cousin, it is worth the trip and nothing like the expense. This is non league at its best.
