Ben Fry

Ben started broadcasting from his bedroom at the age of 9 to his friends and neighbours till someone complained and made him remove the speakers from the garden as they had no interest in the public service broadcasting he thought he was providing.

From there Ben joined Minster FM in York whilst still at school and soon graduated from making tea to answering the phones on the late night show.

As with many budding presenters a freak snow storm gave Ben his big chance on air with the scheduled presenter stuck in a snow drift.

The East Coast was the next stop for Ben with a stint on every show at Yorkshire Coast Radio before presenting the Big Fun Breakfast for 18 months which included a stint in Panto (photo's available on request).

Ben presents The Yorkshire Fry Up every weekday between 7am and 9am and Yorkshire Today between 10am and 1pm.

Richard Stead

Richard's career has followed a very similar path to Ben's (no one knows who is following who) starting at Minster FM in York on work experience and moving on to present the most popular Evening Show in the station history.

Richard is a passionate Yorkshire Man through and through, living in the County his entire life.

He counts Football, Cricket, Rugby League and Racing as his Sports of choice and will keeping Yorkshire up to date on Sporting matters every weekday between 3pm and 6pm.

Richard also fronts The Match Day programme following Leeds United home and away.

Mark Johnson

Mark is Yorkshire Radio's Football fanatic, from a kick around in the park to the Premiership Mark know the stats and scorers from every game going on around Yorkshire.

Mark will keep Yorkshire up to date with everything going on every night from 7pm including all mid week football during the season and updates from all Leeds United reserve games plus a review of all the days other sporting action in the County.

David Boulton

David is the voice you hear at the end of your day on Yorkshire Radio, having presented late night shows on stations across Yorkshire for more than a decade.

We can't say whether David has a face for Radio but we can say he has The Voice, every night from 10pm David will help Yorkshire unwind and relax with dedications and 3 hours of chilled out music.

MacDaddy Cool

No one knows where he came from and no one knows where he is going, the only thing we do know is that he will deliver pleasure you can't measure every Sunday night from 6pm.

Sunday Night at the Pleasure Dome is a trip back to the days of disco when the afros were as big as the hits the MacDaddy spins every Sunday.

Michael Weadock

Michael is Yorkshire Radio's Leeds United commentator and like many Leeds fans follows The Whites home and away.

At Leeds home games he is joined by Leeds legend Norman Hunter and at away games by Peter Lorimer to give there expert analysis on every kick and every decision.

Michael also presents our Saturday show during the Summer so you can't get away from him even when the football season has finished.

Thom Kirwin

Thom is Yorkshire Radio's Yorkshire Sport Correspondent, if it's happening in the White Rose County Thom will be telling you about it.

As a life long Leeds United fan and Season Ticket holder Thom asks the questions the fans want answering from the Manager, Players and maybe even The Chairman.

Thom is our pitch side reporter at Elland Road making sure Yorkshire Radio is right next to the action.

He also follows the reserves and provides updates from all reserve home and away games.

Chris Martin

Chris Martin presents The Sound Of Yorkshire every Saturday evening on Yorkshire Radio between 6pm and 8pm.
